In my conversation with the Hon. Melanie Joly, Minister of Industry of Canada, I discussed the challenges facing our community. I explained to her how members of our community, especially newcomers, are struggling to start their own businesses, find suitable jobs, and build a better future for their families. Most of all, her heartfelt response was: “How can I support your community?”I was very pleased with her warm welcome and willingness to collaborate. I hope that with our plan and the support of the Ministry of Industry, we can help more people in our community and improve their quality of life.
