Afghan Refugees’ Concerns Raised with Prime Minister Mark Carney

Mr. Wadood Dilsoz, President of the Afghan Community of Vancouver, had a brief conversation with the Right Honourable Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada, last Saturday. During the conversation, he raised the concerns of the Afghan community, particularly the situation of families and applicants who have been waiting for years for final decisions on their immigration cases.
After hearing these concerns, the Prime Minister asked Mr. Dilsoz to submit information to his office for review.
We are grateful to the Prime Minister for giving us the opportunity to speak with him and bring this important issue to his attention. The Afghan Community of Vancouver remains committed to supporting Afghan refugees, advocating for vulnerable families, and ensuring that their voices are heard
