Dear Community Members On Friday, a joint meeting was held at the initiative of the Tri-City Iranian Cultural Society, bringing together Iranian and Afghan community activists in Canada. The gathering aimed to express solidarity with the Afghan-Canadian community and to strongly condemn the inhumane mass deportation of Afghan migrants from Iran by the Islamic Republic regime.
At the conclusion of this meeting, a joint statement was issued, the full text of which is shared below:
اعضایی محترم کمیونیتی
روز جمعه، به ابتکار انجمن ایرانیان ترایسیتی، نشستی مشترک با حضور فعالان اجتماعی دو جامعه ایرانی و افغان در ونکوور برگزار شد.
هدف این نشست، ابراز همبستگی با جامعه افغانکانادایی و محکومیت رفتار غیرانسانی جمهوری اسلامی ایران در اخراج گسترده مهاجران افغان بود—اقدامی که ناقض حقوق انسانی، منزلت اجتماعی، و کرامت انسانی هزاران خانواده است.
شرکتکنندگان ضمن تأکید بر پیوندهای فرهنگی، تاریخی و انسانی میان دو ملت، در پایان این نشست بیانیهای مشترک صادر کردند.
