During a conversation with The Honourable Adrian Dix, Minister of Energy and Climate Solutions and Minister Responsible for Francophone Affairs, Mr. Wadood Dilsoz, President of the Afghan Community, raised concerns about the voiding and non-recognition of Afghan driver’s licences, an issue affecting many newcomers.
Minister Dix acknowledged the concern, noting that the federal government had not coordinated with BC regarding number of Afghan refugee resettlement, which has contributed to challenges in licence recognition. He committed to raising the matter with the Attorney General to seek a fair and practical solution for Afghan residents.
